Vegan Picks: Colorado Springs

I spent just under a week in Colorado, staying in both Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. I had tried two different places (One I went to twice because I had only heard raves about it), but I personally was not impressed. I had given up until I went to this establishment:

I loved everything about this place. The people were very friendly and explained everything from their mac n cheese recipe to the reason some wines and beers are not vegan ... something I was not too familiar with myself! And, yes, this is another 100% vegan place. Yay!

They informed me that they wanted to focus on comfort foods, especially considering they are a bar/lounge. This is why you will find cheese on most menu items; and I don't know anyone who would object to that! My friend and I chose the sloppy joe and mac n cheese to share. Also another friend who had not eaten vegan previously and she pretty much devoured the sloppy joe herself, saying she would have no idea it wasn't real meat! I was loving the mac n cheese as well, it was different from what I am used to which was actually nice!

Vegan mounted heads! Hilarious and creative! This establishment if fairly new so make sure you stop by for some delicious food and beer. Tell them Katie from 2cats1girl say hi!
