When ranchers gain a conscience, everyone wins! Rowdy Girl Sanctuary is a true success story; where once there was death, there is now nothing but happiness for cows, chickens, ducks, pigs, horses, and even a turkey named Cooper.

Rowdy Girl is a newer sanctuary and has quickly been gaining momentum and popularity in the vegan/animal activist communities. Renee and Tom live in the middle of ranch country near Houston, Texas. They bought the property that came with a herd of cows that they sold to slaughter as a living. That was how things were there, it's just what was done.

But as time went by, Renee began to notice more about the cows; they responded to music she would play to them while out in the fields. This natural act got her to think and she began to do some research. Their sweet souls were becoming more and more noticeable and she could no longer ignore the red trailer that would take the baby calves away. She had to stop it!

Once Renee's eyes were opened to the reality of what they were doing, she didn't just become vegan. She did something very hard and what many people wouldn't think of: she worked at it and changed her ranch into a sanctuary instead! With a husband as a rancher, however, this was not an easy task. A task that almost broke the marriage up for good! Luckily, Tom was not as heartless as other cattle ranchers you come across and soon agreed to stopping the slaughter. Now only that, he also had a change of heart and became vegan along with his wife. So with Renee's dedication and passion, they had now both found their calling ... and their big smiles tell it all! Now together they have started their new life that gives happy and full lives to farm animals from all over. And in turn, they have found richer and more meaningful lives.

They are not stopping there though! Renee and Tom have many plans for the future with talks of hopeful expansion and many improvements. Also spreading veganism, they are hosting a weekend vegan cookout along with tabling at local events. The future of Texas ranches had better be afraid now with Renee spearheading the vegan and rescue lifestyle! It shows hope that anyone can have a change of heart and make the world a better place. And no one better than Renee to make that happen! Visit their site, see their sanctuary, and donate what you can. They need your help! http://rowdygirlsanctuary.com/
